Data we collect
For an account, we store your email, email-verification status, session records, plan entitlement, favorites, threshold rules, alert events, and delivery status. Searches may be measured in aggregate to improve zero-result coverage. We do not retain precise browser-location history by default.
Location permission
The browser’s location feature is requested only after your action. When used, coordinates support the immediate nearby search. They are not added to a movement history.
Cookies
Secure, HTTP-only session cookies maintain sign-in. A same-site CSRF cookie protects write actions. Analytics, where enabled, are optional and do not identify you.
Processors
Our hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and payment providers may process limited data as needed to perform their function.
Your choices
Signed-in users can export stored account data and delete the account from My Waters. Every alert email includes unsubscribe controls. For questions, email privacy@lakerivernow.com.
Retention and security
Expired magic links and sessions are removed, delivery records are retained only as needed for reliability and legal obligations, and secrets stay server-side. No internet service can promise absolute security.
